A very pleasing thirty-two riders turned out to the first Stratford CC
hosted Go-Ride interclub today, undaunted by the very stormy night, and
relishing the prospect of a gutsy race!
Statford CC and Redditch Road & Path riders were released in two groups - firstly, the under 8s and under 10s combined, then all other categories
together.
Nelly Ledger and Olliver Evens both came in with their best race results yet with a first in their categories, and adding £6 to their pocket money!
2nd and 3rd places were rewarded with £4.00 each.
Thomas Lane, showing great form, came in first in the U12 category, with Luke Turnbull coming in second, showing determination to finish his longest race
yet.
Another worth mentioning is Thomas Millward, who struggled to the finish line, puzzled as to why the going was so tough, only to discover he had ridden the entire race in a flat rear!
And well done to all of the seniors who rode, who were rather shocked when they realised how hard their children have been working at the Monday
sessions!
All junior riders were rewarded with a Go-Ride goody bag, with medals, hats and T shirts to the winning riders, thanks to British Cycling.
So well done to all Stratford and Redditch riders and a MASSIVE THANK-YOU to
everybody that helped before, during and after the races - we couldn't have done it without you - you're the bedrock of the club.
