Stratford Cycling Club got their Time Trail season off to a flying start by taking first prize in the team event at this years VC Sevale (Malvern) Time Trail.

As well as negotiating the tough K46/10 course the 80 riders raced against the clock fighting strong winds and heavy showers. Finishing third overall after getting caught in a hail storm, James Wall was the first man back for Stratford with an excellent time of 22.23 (just 7 seconds behind the winner). Mick Stallard then posted a time of 24.29, closely followed by Chris Everard who's time of 24.43 sealed the deal for stratford.

John Meehan was the fourth Stratford rider back with 25.48, followed by Martin Milllington who was competing in his first Open Time Trial for Stratford CC with a time of 26.59 and Keith Walton with 27.57
